I'm looking for some people who want to join the team. What I want to do is just to much to do for one guy. I want to keep the current tracks up to date and make some small updates, like Ians pitlights, but at the same time I also want to work on some bigger projects. So that's why I'm looking for some help.

The turn 4 patch is now also fixed in the spring edition of Atlanta. And since I was working on it anyway I also included a number of other updates:

It's a very small update, basically meant to put Ians pitlights on it, which we'll do with more tracks during the season.

I also updated the logos in the infield grass and the Pepsi logo on the billboards. I put the 2009 pitstall selection in the track.ini, updated victorylane, fixed the flickering of the scoreboards attached to the pitbuilding and made some other small changes around the track.

Daytona Revamped 2009 released!! PDF Print E-mail

The track has been updated. The daytona_revamped_short ptf should work now as well, also Ian sent me an update so the pitentry lights appear and I made an updated victorylane.

Well here it is, proof that you can have a track in nr2003 that transitions from day to night. There might be a a few issues that I've missed because it's such a big project (took three months to complete).

EDIT: Turn fog to 0 in your player.ini file! In the player.ini file look for this line in the [Effects] section fog=0.

The track has all the features that the other tracks have plus a few new things:

  • A few logos have been added/updated
  • A few 3do's have been updated as well
  • 2009 Daytona 500 pitselection
  • The transition and all it's files
  • There is a shadow on the frontstretch for the day time. You can either turn it off manually during or before the race. It won't go away automatically. But it's something extra I added. If you don't like it turn shadows off.
  • I also included a ptf file for short races. It'll double the time for the transition.

The transition will take 5 hours. Then it starts over. 1 hour of daylight, 1.5 of transition and 2.5 of night time.

Also for this track you need the shared folder update!!
I put a new file on the server. Now the shared folder also contains all the files for the sky and it's transition.
Put those files in your shared folder!

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • This track will take a lot of FPS. I already put a few files in the download that should help you gain some fps if you need them without loosing online compatibility. Also try this: http://www.superspeedway.net/take2/index.php?showtopic=4998 it helped me a lot.
  • The day to night sky does NOT appear in your mirror. It's an exe issue that cannot be fixed
